Food Services Manager - Salt Lake

Location:Salt Lake City, UT
Salary Range:$10/hr + $2/hr performace-based bonus
Benefits:Utah POAP and day passes
Employment Type:Seasonal - Full Time
Description:Full time May-September. Oversee Food Services Department Employees, inventory, sales, etc.
Contact possible supervisors and employees and hire/interview them.
Brainstorm ideas to improve current policies and procedures.
Set goals for the upcoming season.
Attend food shows.
Set up training schedules and attend weekly meetings.
Review food sales from previous years to determine menu items.
Prepare menu with pricing.
Order any necessary equipment.
Deep clean all food stands.
Inventory supplies and make initial order.
Train supervisors and employees.
Schedule supervisors and employees.
Document employee paperwork.

Inventory and order food and supplies.
Minimize food waste.
Oversee scheduling of 60 employees.
Monitor the supervisors daily.
Coordinate staffing needs.
Hold in-service training meetings twice a month.
Attend and hold weekly meetings.
Hold mid-season interviews with each employee to review performance, concerns, and other issues.
Evaluate employees for incentives/bonuses.
Check timecards for needed adjustments.
Address guest questions, concerns and complaints.
Close down the Waterpark for the season according to GM requirements.
Evaluate effectiveness of department over the past season.
Analyze and adjust the budget according to need.
Attend any conferences that further educate about the industry.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
Servsafe Certification
2-3 years experience in a restaurant
Menu preparation knowledge
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other basic computer programs
Management and leadership experience

Able to orchestrate events such as catering
Creative; able to break existing configurations for more effective ones

Must be willing to work Saturdays and holidays during the summer season. Must also be able to handle fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and work in the heat and sun when necessary. Walking through the park several times a day and standing on feet for long hours is required. Heavy lifting may be required.
